Kristen Stewart & Robert Pattinson back together in New Year? 'Twilight' heartthrob wants to 'protect' rekindled romance until after holidays

Despite Kristen Stewart cheating on her "Twilight" sweetheart Robert Pattinson over a year ago, the young Hollywood couple just can't get enough of one another:

Apparently K-Stew and R-Patz are back together (allegedly) and ready to work things out for good this time. The "SWATH" starlet is all for it - but the British heartthrob still has some reservations. 

A Hollywood Life insider reveals, "Rob doesn't want to hide his relationship with Kristen but doesn't see an alternative right now. Concealing their relationship is Rob's way of protecting their relationship...  He has been very adamant with Kristen to keep everything hush-hush between them, and even though Kristen wants to go public, out of respect for Rob, she will continue to keep their love for each other to themselves - at least for the time being."

The 27-year-old actor is preoccupied with other things right now - like work:

"Rob's off to film his next movie right after Thanksgiving, so it's not like he's going to have to keep his relationship with Kristen a secret anyway," the source continues. "They plan on keeping in touch via Skype, etc. They have done the long-distance thing before."  

So the couple will spend the holidays together. If anything, Robsten might make their relationship public again in the New Year. Great time for a fresh start, right?
