Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Rajkumar Hirani have established their own style of storytelling in Bollywood by delivering some hit movies in the past like "Munna Bhai MBBS", its sequel "Lage Raho Munna Bhai," and the blockbuster movie "3 Idiots." And this time they meet the audience with "Ferrari ki Sawaari".

This week, the duo has come out with a new story with "Ferrari ki Sawaari" that deals with emotions, aspirations and quest of common people to achieve some extraordinary dreams. The movie is directed by debutant Rajesh Mapuskar and is drawing mixed reaction from the film pundits.

The movie narrates about a father who is ready to do anything to help his son chase his dream and achieve it. The story revolves around a sports car, which supposedly belong to cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar.

The actual ride in the movie begins when the father, played by Sharman Joshi, makes away with a lavish Ferrari car to flaunt it in a marriage ceremony, to raise money for his son's cricketing dreams, played by Ritvik Sahore.

We bring you the important excerpts from the reviews by well-known critics, thus low down on the idea of what to expect from the movie, "Ferrari ki Sawaari".

Rajeev Masand of CNN IBN has given the verdict of the "Ferrari ki Sawaari" as 'completely assembled.' He feels that the movie is no exception to the other Rajkumar Hirani's offerings.

However, the reviewer said the movie is still watchable for the performances of the artists despite the few lapses and slow pace.

""Ferrari Ki Sawaari" is competently assembled, but never quite straddles the real and the exaggerated as effortlessly as Hirani's films have. Still there's much pleasure to be had in the performances here," Masand wrote.

Commenting on the roles of the actors in the movie Masand said: "Of the leads, Sharman Joshi makes Rusy wholly believable despite being written as a mild-mannered, too-good-to-be-true fellow. But it's Ritvik Sahore as the confident but considerate Kayo, and particularly Boman Irani as the wronged, disillusioned grump who brings pathos to this film."

Popular critic Taran Adarsh rated "Ferrari ki Sawaari" good and recommended it to movie lovers.

After watching this movie, Adarsh said that he could sense a mood of experimentation and trialing in the industry and claimed that a lot is being done with a wide variety of stories being explored.

He summed up the plot as "intelligible plot, garnish it well with humor and emotions, cast splendid actors and presto, a heart-warming tale of unconditional and unmitigated love between a father and his son is out for public consumption."

On the whole Adarsh said: "Ferrari Ki Sawaari" is a noble film, a film that has its heart in the right place. It's well-intended and sincere and it goes about its business with incredible earnestness. Of course, the film has its share of hiccups, but then all films do, right? But keeping the fault-finding apart, "Ferrari Ki Sawaari" is an accomplished effort. It's that exceptional film that communicates a point and tells a sensitive story in those 2.10 hours. This heartwarming, tender and sprightly film should not be missed!

Saibal Chatterjee of NDTV said that "Ferrari Ki Sawaari" is surely enjoyable. However, he feels that the movie is packed with sequences that have already been overdone in several movies over the years.

"This competently crafted and well-intentioned cricket-themed film steers clear of many of commercial Hindi cinema's narrative conventions - it sure gets full marks on that count - but succumbs to some of its most retreaded clichés," says Chatterjee.

Chatterjee wrote: "Ferrari Ki Sawaari" is a thank you note to Sachin Tendulkar for inspiring a whole generation of young Indians to pick up the willow and knock the cricket ball around with intent. It would have made its point a lot better had it been as crisp as a Sachin cover drive or as heart-pounding as the thrill of a Ferrari at full throttle. It's neither.

Gaurav Malani, of Times of India said, "Ferrari Ki Sawaari" ensures a roller-coaster ride for its audiences and tagged it as "beautiful watch."

Malani appreciated the screenplay and the narrative techniques of the movie, which is crafted by Rajesh Mapuskar and Vidhu Vinod Chopra and said that the one-liners written by Hirani in the movie are very simple, meaningful and leaves impact on the audience.

Malani's verdict on "Ferrari Ki Sawaari", saying: "Ironically, this is a Ferrari that will zoom straight into your heart for its modesty. A beautiful watch!"

So, the opinions of these critics assure us that "Ferrari Ki Sawaari" ride is very unlikely to disappoint the moviegoers.
