Drake plans to release five new songs before year's end
Couldn't get enough of Nothing Was The Same? Well then you're in luck. Drake recently announced that he will be releasing five new songs before the year ends.
Should've known Drizzy wasn't gonna leave us hanging.
Drake told Vibe Magazine he hopes the tracks will include "Trophies" and a remix of "Wu-Tang Forever," which features the legendary hip-hop collective. But release of the latter isn't really in Drizzy's hands.
"['Wu-Tang Forever (Remix)'] will probably come out with all that stuff-I hope," Drake says. "It's on 40. He has all the verses."
Prior to the release of his now platinum NWTS, the Canadian rapper/singer took to his blog to release four tracks including his "Jodeci Freestyle" featuring J. Cole, and verses on PARTYNEXTDOOR's "Over Here" and Migos' "Versace."
Drake says he will release his new tracks in a similar fashion.
"Not an EP, but maybe a blog thing like how I did 'Versace,' 'The Motion,' all those in one night," Drake says of his upcoming releases. "I'll probably do 'Trophies' and three or four other records."
According to some producers who have worked with Drizzy, he's been holding out.
Producer Nineteen85, who co-produced "Hold On, We're Going Home" and "Too Much" had this to say:
"Drake probably has almost an album's worth of stuff recorded that he could put out at any time. Songs that basically are ready to go. And I'm not talking about throwaway records. I'm talking about finished songs that most artists would beg to have."
Whatever it is that he releases, we're sure we won't be disappointed.
