Kylie Minogue and Will.i.am. will be coaches on 'The Voice Australia'
The Voice Australia has just as much of a star-studded cast of mentors for the contestants in the singing competition as we do here on NBC. Now, some of The Voice U.K. judges are making their way south to switch things up. It was announced by the Nine Network that Seal and Delta Goodrem won't be a part of The Voice Australia in 2014, and Will.i.am and Kylie Minogue will take their place.
The two previous U.K. judges will join Joel Madden and Ricky Martin, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Madden was an original judge on the series, and this year Martin replaced Keith Urban.
"It is an honor to join The Voice Australia as a coach working alongside Kylie Minogue, Ricky Martin and Joel Madden. Australia is a highly creative country and a place with many good memories that have shaped my music career," said Will.i.am. "Australia is one of the first countries where The Black Eyed Peas enjoyed international success selling out many performances, and the place where I discovered electronic dance music. Having worked with both Kylie Minogue and Ricky Martin on past music projects, it will be fun to collaborate with them on the show."
It seems like judges and coaches for all of these types of shows play a lot of musical chairs. Urban left The Voice Australia to be on American Idol. Former Idol judge will now be a judge on So You Think You Can Dance Australia. Spice Girl Mel B was a judge on X Factor Australia but was moved over to Australia's Got Talent.
It's hard to keep track of who's doing which show next, but they all appear to bring value as artists to each of the shows, international or in the U.S.
