Earlier this month, New Jersey waitress Dayna Morales was peeved after a family refused to tip her for being gay at Bridgewater's Gallop Asian Bistro restaurant. Here's the full story, as Mstars previously reported:

Dayna Morales is a former U.S. Marine who now waitresses at the Gallop Asian Bistro in Bridgewater, N.J. Morales had a rather shocking run-in with a homophobic mother the other day while at work, and she shared her experience with the popular nonprofit "Have a Gay Day" on Facebook. Her story has since gone viral.

Morales' Facebook message quickly went viral after being posted in early November:

"I'm a server at Gallop Asian Bistro in Bridgewater, NJ and THIS is what happened to me today.....

The note says 'sorry I cannot tip because I do not agree with your lifestyle & the way you live your life.'

NEVER in a million years did I think this would happen. Not only was it a family with two kids, but as I introduce myself and tell them my name is Dayna - the mom proceeds to look at me and say 'oh I thought you were gonna say your name is Dan. You sure surprised us!'

I am THOROUGHLY offended mad pissed off and hurt that THIS is what her kids will grow up learning and that I served in the Marines to keep ignorant people like them free. Sorry lady but I don't agree with YOUR lifestyle and the way you're raising your kids but you didn't see me throwing that in your face and giving you shitty service. Keep your damn mouth shut and pray we never cross paths again."

Since sharing her story of blatent discrimination on social media, several people have offered their support and similar frustrations. The post has since been shared over thousands of times.

Morales later added, "Thanks everyone for your support - it took very fiber of my being not to spit in their food and say something. (Not gonna lie if kids weren't there it would of been a totally different story)."

She remains very vocal about the situation on Facebook, and has conducted several media interviews.

Have a Gay Day's "About" section on Facebook reads:

"Welcome to Have A Gay Day! We are GLAAD that you stopped by! Founded on the thought of Equality and N0 H8. Supporting Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, Straight and anything else that might be human, pet, or life."

But, did Morales actually photoshop the receipt? According to the unidentified family who insist that they did leave a tip, that's exactly what she did:

An NJ family (who wish to remain anonymous) recently contacted NBC 4 New York saying that they DID leave an $18 tip on the $93.55 bill. Compare the similar images above. Also, they allegedly did not leave a nasty, homophobic note. The family also provided a document of their alleged Visa bill, which appears to indicate that their card was charged $111.55 (meal plus tip).

Husband and wife believe that their receipt was used for a hoax. According to NBC, the wife insists that she's left-handed and could not have made the slash in the tip line (she claims that it looks to be drawn from the right).

"We've never not left a tip when someone gave good service, and we would never leave a note like that," the wife said.

The couple explain that they have both worked in restaurants and believe in the value of tipping. According to the husband, he didn't even vote for Chris Christie because the governor doesn't support gay marriage. "Never would a message like that come from us," he said.

On Monday (Nov. 25), Morales told NBC 4 New York that she definitely did not receive a tip, and that the handwriting on the receipt was not hers. When asked if there had been some sort of misunderstanding, she replied, "I don't know, all I know is what I've been saying."

The restuarant later released a statement saying it was aware of the allegations, but had no comment pending an internal investigation.

According to the couple, this whole thing was a big misunderstanding.

Apparently, the hostess who sat the family initially told them that their server would be "Dan." When Morales showed up instead, the wife exclaimed "whoa, you're not Dan!" From there, the rest of the meal with their two children went fine.

This situation has been haunting them for weeks, so the couple finally decided to step forward - "I just felt like people have a right to know that... it's fine if people want to donate to her or to the Wounded Warriors, but they're doing it under a false pretense," the wife said.

According to Morales, people have been sending her tips from all over the world. She claims she started donating some of the money to the Wounded Warrior Project.
