Mother of dead photog Chris Guerra believes Bieber's SUV may have killed him
Chris Guerra was the photographer killed while shooting pictures of Justin Bieber's Ferrari back on Jan. 1. Now in a TMZ exclusive, Guerra's mom is saying that two different cars struck him, leaving him dead.
The second driver is wanted for felony hit-and-run, and TMZ reports the hit-and-run vehicle fits the description of a black SUV in Bieber's entourage. Bieber was not in the Ferrari at the time Guerra was photographing it. 19-year-old rapper Lil' Twist was in the driver seat. He had allegedly been speeding on the 405 when officers instructed him to pull over to the side of the freeway.
When an officer spotted the paparazzo, he told Guerra to leave the scene, he walked across the street only to be hit by a car and then hit for a second time. TMZ reports that law enforcement reviewed surveillance tape in addition to forensic evidence and told them that the second vehicle was a black, high profile SUV that was either a Range Rover or a Hummer.
Guerra's mom has stated that she believes the SUV was with Bieber's camp, but the police have not allowed her to look at the surveillance tape because the case is still open.
In March 2012, Guerra had left his job working at a Las Vegas casino to work as a freelance photographer in Los Angeles. His focus was entirely on Justin Bieber exclusives. He had apparently made many claims over the time he spent watching Bieber, including that he saw him smoking marijuana. No one in Bieber's camp has responded for comments after the recent statements from Guerra's mom.
