Could Shocker make a cameo appearance in The Amazing Spider-Man 2?
The list of possible cameo appearances in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and subsequent ASM movies continues to grow as a new viral marketing post makes reference to yet another Spider-Man villain.
The Daily Bugle Tumblr page, which those behind the movie have used to create buzz for the film, has posted another fake newspaper article that makes reference to a bank robbery that occurred thanks to a "sustained vibration" that blew the door off its hinges. He is not mentioned by name, but that is almost assuredly a reference to the Shocker, the Spidey villain who fires concentrated blasts from gauntlets on his hands.
The Tumblr has posted articles with numerous references to other Spider-Man villains in the buildup to the movie, which has led fans to wonder what bad guys could show up in The Amazing Spider Man 2 or 3 or 4. There are many villains to choose from and these films could start to get pretty crowded if most or all of them showed up, but time will tell which villains make the cut.

The NYPD are the city's greatest heroes, but sometimes, even heroes are left scratching their heads. For instance, when $200,000 goes missing from the armored vault at G.K. Mason Bank.
Detective Stan Carter of the NYPD Major Crimes Unit was on scene to comment, stating, 'There's still a lot we don't know, but it looks like some kind of sustained vibration literally shook the door off its hinges and ripped the walls apart in the process.' Security cameras inside the bank were damaged upon the immediate forced entry of the robber, denying police a clear view of the perpetrator or the means of rupturing the vault.
When asked if the NYPD had concerns that the nature of the crime might indicate heightened super-human activity, Carter said, 'There's no evidence to point to that yet. When we catch him, we don't expect anything more than a common crook with a clever toy.'"
