Louis C.K. is developing more new TV shows for FX
Louis C.K. is a household name these days thanks in part to his no-nonsense stand up comedy that has evolved into his brilliant television series, Louis, on FX. The comedian has amassed a hugged following and is doing incredibly well for himself. So it comes as no surprise that FX wants to stay involved with C.K. and has offered him brand new shows for the network.
According to Variety:
FX Networks has locked up Louis C.K.'s services as a writer and director on TV series for the foreseeable future, inking a multi-year overall deal with the hyphenate's Pig Newton banner. [The deal] calls for Pig Newton to develop pilots and series exclusively for FX Networks outlets, with C.K. retaining the option to write or direct any of the projects and also serve as exec producer.
Are you excited for this prospective venture from FX and C.K.? A few more shows from the talented funnyman will definitely be good for the network, so let's hope it all works out. FX is clearly excited for this deal.
"Working with Louis C.K. has been one of the most rewarding and enjoyable experiences of my career," said FX Networks president John Landgraf. "I am thrilled that our relationship with Louis and Blair Breard will continue for the foreseeable future through this deal with FXP. So many incredibly talented artists want to work with Louis and follow down the independent and idiosyncratic creative trail he has blazed. I can't wait to see who he brings through our door, not to mention any new projects that he wants to create for us."
