Victoria's Secret fires Australian model Jessica Hart after Taylor Swift diss at 2013 Fashion Show
Have you ever wondered what would happen to a supermodel for badmouthing an international pop star that just performed at the 2013 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show? Well, unfortunately for Australian model Jessica Hart, the answer is that you get your Angel wings clipped. After Hart dissed Taylor Swift in a recent interview, her contract with the sexy lingerie company was torn up and she was dropped from the coveted campaign.
Last month during the annual Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in New York City, guest singer Taylor Swift gave an incredible performance during the runway show. She sang her heart out while interacting with the supermodels and really added to the experience for the audience. But after the show, one model didn't seem too impressed by the "I Knew You Were Trouble" songstress.
When asked if Swift could be a Victoria's Secret model, Jessica Hart bluntly responded, "No."
"I think, you know what, God bless her heart. I think she's great," Hart said at the time. "But I don't know, to me, she didn't fit. I don't know if I should say that. I think what you find is that for a lot of us, we've been working for 14, 15 years; what it takes to make it here comes from experience and confidence and knowing how to be confident with yourself. I think it comes with age. It's definitely the benchmark of all jobs."
Clearly she was trying to express herself in the right way, but came off as the bad guy in this situation.
She had this to say only days after her first statement: "I adore Taylor Swift and I was so excited to be with her at the Victoria Secret Fashion Show ... She is a true rock star and she absolutely killed it the other night."
Hart isn't an official "Angel," but the 27-year-old does have a great working relationship with the company. This controversy could have ruined that relationship, though.
