Only two months after losing a wrongful-death suit brought against concert promoter AEG, Michael Jackson's mother, Katherine is asking for a new trial.

Attorneys representing, 83-year-old Katherine Jackson filed new court papers Monday claiming misconduct by the jury, newly discovered evidence and an error in the first trial.

AEG was first sued by Katherine, in 2010 on the behalf of herself and her son's three children, claiming the promoter was negligent in hiring Dr. Conrad Murray to care for the singer as he prepared for his ill-fated "This Is It" comeback concert series.

Jackson died in June of 2009 from an overdose of the anesthetic propofol administered by Murray.

According to CBS, a jury on Oct. 2 found AEG not liable in the singer's death. The 12-person jury determined the company did hire Murray to care for Jackson but did not find the physician unfit or incompetent to perform the work for which he was hired.

Murray was recently released from prison, on Oct. 28 after serving only two years for manslaughter.

A hearing date has not been set.
