Keri Russell's NYC home burglarized
Waking up to discover some of your most beloved items have been taken has to be one of the worst feelings and actress Keri Russell now knows that feeling all too well. The actress' home was burglarized early this morning (Dec. 4).
According to TMZ, Russell, who once starred on the hit show "Felicity," was awakened at about 3 a.m. in her New York City townhouse when she heard noises upstairs. Russell promptly got up to investigate the strange sounds only to find that her living room window and front door were wide open and some of her stuff was missing.
Police said the burglars made off with a Filson handbag, a laptop computer and a necklace.
Apparently, the burglars decided to pull a string of home invasions in Russell's neighborhood. Police say they arrested two guys, a father-son team, several blocks away for allegedly burglarizing another home.
Police are now considering them to be suspects in the Russell break-in. Looks like their male bonding venture backfired.
While on the set of her show, Russell told The New York Post, "The New York City cops were awesome. They're bringing my stuff back right now - when does that ever happen?! "
Reports indicate that Russell's husband, carpenter Shane Deary, and their children, son River and daughter Willa were not there at the time of the break-in. The two men have not been charged for the burglary of Russell's home.
We're glad Keri Russell wasn't harmed during the break-in but she may want to look into better security for her home.
