Zayn Malik's ex-girlfriend Rebecca Ferguson is 'a fan' of Perrie Edwards' Little Mix songs, discussed dating the One Direction stud

Zayn Malik is currently engaged to Little Mix member Perrie Edwards, but some people might forget how he had another relationship earlier on in his career. Back when he was on ­X-Factor, Malik dated fellow singer Rebecca Ferguson for a brief time and then eventually started dating Edwards.  With Zayn's engagement and wedding news circling around, Ferguson has had to answer plenty of questions about her former fling. But the singer has been handling these questions quite well and even admits she has no hard feelings toward her ex or his fiancée!

Both Perrie and Rebecca attended the Cosmopolitan Women of the Year Awards this week, which could have easily led to the two Zayn lovers meeting. Though they did not actually run into each other, Ferguson fielded a few questions wondering if that interaction would have been awkward for her. The "I Hope" songstress insisted that it would not have been a big deal at all if she and Perrie crossed paths.

"You know what I don't know [Perrie] her, but I'm a big fan of Little Mix," she said.

"I think I'm just older and wise. I've got a boyfriend, I've been with him for a year I'm quite a chilled, if I see him I'd say hello," she added referring to Zayn.

"It was such a brief relationship, I find it quite funny," Ferguson said about being asked so many questions about dating Zayn. "It was three months!" she laughed.

"Anyway it's part of the industry and I get it, so I just find it quite funny," she explained. "Everyone's like 'ooh how do you feel about him getting married?' and I'm like 'I don't really care, good luck'."

Perhaps this was Rebecca's polite way of saying to stop asking about Zayn because she really doesn't have any opinions on the One Direction singer.
