Ryan Seacrest working on reality series about white female rappers
Ryan Seacrest may very well be taking his reality show talents to VH1 and he's looking for a particular group of girls for his upcoming project.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Seacrest is readying a new reality show tentatively titled Girls in the Game. The series will follow six up and coming white female rappers as they venture through the music industry.
A premiere date and many details remain under wraps but the series will feature six half-hour episodes. Seacrest will executive produce the series alongside Ryan Seacrest Productions' outgoing CEO Adam Sher.
Girls in the Game is sure to be a hit. Seacrest already has many successes under his belt, including the slew of Kardashian shows on E! as well as Bravo's Shahs of Sunset and Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution on ABC.
About two years ago, Seacrest was in talks to take over VH1 Soul. Wonder if he's still interested in adding his own cable network to his media empire?
He sure has been making some big moves lately. Last month, RSP sold 40 episodes of kids game show Go Viral to fellow Viacom-owned network Nickelodeon.
We're excited to see what's next for Ryan Seacrest and even more excited to see his new show. Girls in the Game will join VH1's rooster of unscripted entries including Mob Wives and Love & Hip Hop, as well as the latter's spinoff, Chrissy & Mr. Jones. Should be interesting, right?
What do you think of this new show? Will you be watching?
