Prince, Rita Ora collaboration may appear on songstress' new album
Rita Ora or -as you may know her- "that one chick who moves serious units in England but can't seem to find a way into the States, no matter how hard she tries" has admitted that she collaborated with Prince on some music that might appear on her new album.
"I have met him and I have had the honour of being in the same studio with him," she told The Mirror. "We messed around with some music together and you know, I can't believe he can play so many instruments. All I can say is we've definitely done some music together."
All told, it's been an interesting year for the typically industry- technology- and publicity-averse icon. He's played into famous jokes about him. He's given in-depth profiles. He's become the celebrity who can most closely be linked to Weird Twitter.
Most importantly, however, he hosted a pajama party at his house has opened up to collaborating with modern-day stars. He appeared on the excellent Electric Lady cut "Give Em What They Love" and shows no signs of slowing down with his new band 3rdEyeGirl.
Will Prince become the next 2 Chainz? Probably not. But the fact that he's appearing on pop albums at all should make fans of music very happy.
In other Ora news, the Roc Nation signee has been cast in the film adaptation of the smash-hit trilogy 50 Shades Of Grey. Ora will play protagonist Christian Grey's sister, Mia.
