‘Madagascar 3’ Stays on Top This Week Again, Beats Tom Cruise

"Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted" held onto the No. 1 spot again for its second weekend at US and Canadian box office charts with 35.5 million.

The DreamWorks animation voiced by Ben Stiller, Chris Rock, Jada Pinkett Smith and others has collected $120.4 million in the U.S. domestic theater since it released a week ago.

Ridley Scott's sci-fi adventure, 'Prometheus' took second place with $20.2 million, raising its 10-day domestic sales to $88.8 million.

Warner Bros' new release "Rock of Ages" was expected to perform better at the box office. The picture starring Tom Cruise, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Alec Baldwin flopped at No. 3 with 15.1 million.

Sandler's 'That's My Boy' also delivered disappointing debuts. It came in No. 5 with $13 million, the worst showing for one of his broad comedies since the mid-1990s.

Estimate ticket sales from Friday to Sunday at North America theaters, according to Hollywood.com are:
