The cast of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 sat down with Yahoo! to discuss the highly-anticipated sequel and star Andrew Garfield (Peter Parker/Spider-Man) dropped two interesting pieces of information. Firstly, he admitted that something was missing from the first movie, and he also teased that he may not be in the already announced The Amazing Spider-Man 4.

Garfield also revealed that he became extremely emotional when he heard about The Amazing Spider-Man 2:

"I sat with [screenwriters] Bob Orci and Alex Kurtzman in a restaurant for lunch in New York, and they pitched me this movie...And I was crying. I just welled up. I'm an easy crier, but I was really emotionally moved by what they said to me. And I think a lot of my emotion was because it was like these two guys, they love the character just as much as I do. I think there was something that we were missing in that first one where our focus wasn't on the character so much. It was on trying to keep a certain number of plates spinning in the air. Like how do we retell the story? How do we not upset this person? Whereas now, we just have the ability to go, 'Okay, so who's this guy? Who is Spider-Man? How do we serve Spider-Man?'"

Director Marc Webb said in the interview that they conceived the movies as a trilogy. But a fourth movie has already been announced, so what does that mean for Garfield?

"That's all news to me. I mean I'm under contract for another one after this," Garfield said. "As far as a fourth one? That's not anything to do with me. But yeah, I think what we're doing here is we've established the world and now we get to really play inside that world and use our imagination and kind of expand. That's what this film is."

Of course, it's possible that Garfield just meant that he hasn't yet worked out a deal for a fourth movie, but time will tell.
