R. Kelly announces he's preparing sexy Christmas album for 2014 holiday season, 'The 12 Nights of Christmas' [VIDEO]
It seems like next year's holiday season is going to get pretty sensual, all thanks to R. Kelly. Just after the release of his 12th studio album Black Panties, Kelly has revealed he's going to release a new record next year: a Christmas record.
In an interview with RapUpTV, the "Cookie" crooner announced that he's been working on a Christmas album called The 12 Nights of Christmas and that the release will come out just in time for some sexy Santa action next year. Of course, since it's an R. Kelly album, it's going to be pretty saucy. "It's gonna be a lot of lovemaking. I come with that bearing gifts," he said.
According to RapUpTV, Kelly actually started working on the album last year but isn't planning on letting it drop until the 2014 holiday season. So, that means all the "ho, ho, hos" will have to wait one more long year. "I started it last Christmas, actually, but I don't believe in just putting out a Christmas album just to sell records. It has to be the next ['This Christmas']. In order to get that and capture that moment, you have to take a couple of Christmases and then you come with it."
Kelly releasing a full-length Christmas album should come as no huge surprise to music fans. This year, he released a holiday single "Christmas I'll Be Steppin'" for the movie soundtrack to The Best Man Holiday.

In the meanwhile, Kelly's Black Panties is aiming for a solid debut on the Billboard 200 next week. According to the sales tracking site, the album should start in the top 10 with over 100,000 copies sold.
