Scandal airs its midseason finale at 10 p.m. on Thursday on ABC, and the excitement for one of the hottest shows on television is reaching a fever pitch. One of the most shocking parts of the latest crazy episode was the torture scenes between Huck (Guillermo Diaz) and Quinn (Katie Lowes). The relationship known among fans as Huckleberry Quinn has been changed, but where do they go from here?

Diaz and Lowes told E! Online that the two characters will never be the same, but each has hope that they will reunite somehow.

"I think they're definitely going to come back from it, I don't know how, but I think they're both tortured and they're both jaded now, but they're still part of the same dysfunctional family," Diaz said. "They're both kind of coming from the same world somewhat. Quinn tortured someone a little bit for that Cytron card. I just can't wait to see how Shonda is going to try and make it work. I don't think they're going anywhere. I think they're going to stay in each other's lives and somehow, as crazy as it sounds, I think they're going to get past it."

"My fingers and toes are crossed for that, if Quinn has fingers and toes, but I do think Quinn will forever be changed from the experience. I do," Lowes said. "I do think she'll be forever changed and I don't know what Huckleberry Quinn's relationship will look like in the future. I feel like the fans on Twitter who just root for them. We have so many amazing fans on twitter who are just devastated that they can't ship Huckleberry Quinn's names together anymore. They're just absolutely devastated by it. I feel for them and I hold out hope, but I don't know. I don't know what's going to happen."

The two actors also discussed the midseason finale but did not offer much in the way of spoilers. Diaz sais the episode "will leave fans on the floor" and "wanting more." Lowes said there is no single word for the episode but "it will leave fans speechless."

They also talked about the reduced episode order from 22 to 18 for Season 3, and both said that it could help in the long run because series creator Shonda Rhimes will make sure that the episodes are even more action-packed and intense than usual.
