Jason Segel to play David Foster Wallace in movie focusing on 'Infinite Jest' promotional tour

He can't do The Muppets 2 but he has time to read Infinite Jest? Mega-scoff. Jason Segel is locked in to play the author of The Godfather of books (in that a lot of people pretend they've made it all the way through it), David Foster Wallace. 

The film will be based around David Lipsky's book Although of Course You End Up Becoming Yourself. If you eye-rolled as hard as I did at that book title and it's free-for-all capitalization/punctuation style, than neither this movie nor Wallace's body of work will be for you.

Segel will play the author, who tragically took his own life by hanging himself on the patio of his home in 2008. Jessie Eisenberg will play Rolling Stone writer Lipsky as he follows around Wallace. Think Almost Famous but with book learnin'.
