Ashely Tisdale releases 'You're Always Here,' first new music since 2009
Ashley Tisdale has returned to making music, but should she have? Her latest "You're Always Here" is a passable bit of pop shlock that doesn't quite reach the level of her last work, Guilty Pleasure.
If Selena Gomez hadn't upped the ante for what we should expect from Disney startlet pop albums (not to mention Nickelodeon's Ariana Grande and her game-changing Truly Yours album) then this Tisdale track might have had a chance. The swell in the chorus hits hard, even if it has nothing to say afterward. Not to mention, the bridge is lifted straight from "Blame It On The Tetons" and, if that's intentional, then it's a pretty interesting move for a pop starlet.
Check it out over at Idolator. They call it an "off-brand 'Brightest Morning Star'" and - given my feelings on that hot mess - I'd have to say that's a little harsh.
What do you think of "You're Always Here" from Ashley Tisdale?
