Tony Romo visits children's hospital one day after Dallas Cowboys' collapse against Green Bay Packers

The Dallas Cowboys suffered an epic collapse to the Green Bay Packers on Sunday at the worst possible time. The Cowboys are in the thick of a playoff race in the NFC East with the Philadelphia Eagles, but they blew a 26-3 halftime lead at home to a Packers team led by backup quarterback Matt Flynn.

Quarterback Tony Romo, who now has a 13-20 record in the months of December and January (including playoffs), threw two devastating interceptions in the final three minutes of the game to help the Packers earn the win. To add to the soap opera, wide receiver Dez Bryant made headlines again by walking off the field with about a minute-and-a-half left in the game as the Packers ran out the clock.

But none of that matters, because Tony Romo is helping sick children!

TMZ Sports reported on Monday that Romo and a few of his Cowboys teammates visited the Children's Medical Center of Dallas on Monday to hand out gifts to sick children. The site notes that the team traditionally visits multiple children's hospitals in the Dallas area during the holiday season.

Humorously, the site remarks that "no toys were intercepted during his visit." But they also point out that Romo showed up despite the outpouring of anger from Cowboys fans for yet another collapse at a crucial point late in the season.

Dallas has now lost two straight games to backup quarterbacks and faces a third in Kirk Cousins and the Washington Redskins in Week 16. The Cowboys are 7-7 this season and are one game behind the Eagles, who are 8-6, in the NFC East standings.
