Dave Matthews forms a new band called 'The Nauts'
Looks like Dave Matthews is moving on to new ventures including forming a new band called The Nauts.
Members of Dave Matthews band The Nauts include Jakob Dylan, Bob Dylan guitarist Charlie Sexton, drummer Brady Blade and his brother Will.
The new group is slated to have their first live performance in Shreveport, Louisiana. The performance will be a part of the Unscene! concert series.
Unscene! is an arts events series that takes place each month.
The band is also working on its debut album at Blade Studios, which the drummer co-owns.
A biography page on the Unscene! website gave further details about the project:
"What started out as a fun project for Brady Blade to get some musicians together and jam-such as Dave Matthews, Jakob Dylan, Charlie Sexton and Will Sexton-has turned into a full-fledged band called The Nauts, and this newly formed group has been working on a forthcoming record."
But fans of the Dave Matthews Band are in luck, too.
According to Rolling Stone, the Dave Matthews Band is working on a new project with producer Rob Cavallo.
Matthews had this to say of the upcoming album:
"I'm just trying to come up with something that doesn't sound like the past. Whenever I start messing around in the studio, I start writing, so hopefully we can come up with something worth listening to."
The Dave Matthews Band took their first trip to perform in South Africa, where Matthews was born, this month. The band also went on a South American tour.
