HBO's hit series Boardwalk Empire is known for its thrilling storylines that usually lead to the death of some big characters, but when Jimmy Darmody died in the season two finale fans were blown away. At the time, the show was praised for making such a crazy decision by killing off a fan favorite, but perhaps the reason he was written off had to do with what was going on behind the cameras. According to a former crewmember of the show, the actor that played Jimmy, Michael Pitt, was kind of a jerk!

This new report states that the decision to distance Pitt from the series was due to his tardiness, attitude and inability to perform.

"[Pitt was] late a lot (this costs production money), [he had] trouble remembering lines (they had to reshoot an entire scene because he couldn't remember his lines...this costs production money), [was] constantly questioning his character's storyline, tried to change dialogue a lot, would wander from the set, got into a little fist fight with William Forsythe during the Jimmy death scene, etc. They had plans for him and Angela's character but they pretty much just got tired of him," the source explained.

The insider's report was posted on 4chan a few weeks ago and another source has since come forward backing up this story. Speaking to the website Warming Glow (which ran this story a while back) this unnamed actor shared his own storied on Pitt.
