Pharrell interviews Leonard Nimoy from 'Star Trek'

It's no secret that superproducer Pharrell is a massive Star Trek fan. Hell, the name of his label is Star Trak. Still, I didn't expect Skateboard P's interview skills to be on par with his fandom when he sat down with Leonard Nimoy (Spock from the original series).

Luckily for all of us, I was proven wrong. Pharrell provides an in-depth and insightful talk with the one-time Vulcan that includes discussion of the origins of the Vulcan salute, Nimoy's initial decision to get into acting and the far-reaching influence of Gene Rodenberry's classic television show.

Check it out below:

And it wasn't like 2013 was going poorly for Pharrell before he got to interview one of his childhood heros. The Neptune has worked on albums for Miley Cyrus, Beyonce and Pusha T. Not to mention, he was a key component of the early song-of-the-summer contender "Get Lucky."
