The milestone 200th episode of How I Met Your Mother, entitled "How Your Mother Met Me," will air on Monday, Jan. 27 as Season 9, the show's last, continues toward its March 31 series finale. Fans already knew that the episode would focus almost solely on The Mother (Cristin Milioti), but thanks to Cobie Smulders, who plays Robin Scherbatsky, we now have much more detail about the landmark installment.

"We finally get to see what happened at the club with the yellow umbrella!" Smulders told TV Guide Canada in reference to the Season 3 episode "No Tomorrow" in which Ted picked up the yellow umbrella (which she presumably left there) after the St. Patrick's Day party that he and his future bride both attended. Ted later leaves the umbrella at The Mother's apartment when he briefly dates her roommate, Cindy (Rachel Bilson).

Smulders also revealed that the episode mostly contains flashbacks that show The Mother's life during the past eight-plus seasons of the show.

"It's basically what's been going on in her life the last nine years," she said. "We get to kind of see how [she and Ted] just miss each other...That episode is a lot about tying up loose ends and showing fans what they want to see."

Smulders also shared her enthusiasm about Milioti's big episode.

"I'm so excited she gets a whole episode!" she said. "I feel like she's always in these quick scenes with us, and she never gets a chance to shine so much."

Unfortunately, the actress confirmed that Robin will not meet The Mother in the 200th episode, but we could soon see another important female figure on the show: Robin's mother. Smulders did not know who would play her character's mom, but she had some suggestions.

"I pitched Annette Benning," she said. "I would really like that. Mary McDonald I think I pitched too...It should be an interesting Canadian callback. I don't know she's going to be abooting it all over the place, but I think she lives up in Canada, so that should be cool."
