Fans who have been following the stream of news about The Amazing Spider-Man 2 know by now that that Paul Giamatti portrays the Rhino (real name Alexander Sytsevich) in the movie. At first, the only glimpse we had of the Academy Award nominee was from director Marc Webb's Twitter page when he sent out a picture of Giamatti in action on the set.

Then came the official trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and fans everywhere saw Rhino's costume for the film, which basically looks like a giant mech. But now, thanks to the always-entertaining Daily Bugle Tumblr page, we have received a bit more background information on the character.

The following faux article details some of the actions of the Russian mob in New York City, which of course connects to the Rhino:

"By Frederick Foswell

With reports of Russian mob activity at an all-time high in the city, many have wondered who these (mostly) men are and what they are trying to accomplish. New Yorkers are no strangers to organized crime, but this time it seems different.

Gregarious, boastful men fill the Brighton beach night scene - every single one of them with a spectacular guttural baritone voice that makes one wonder if there are any gangster tenors.

Mob activity is the suspected cause of a spike in crime across all five boroughs. Not content with hijacking retails goods, sports betting, or drugs, more crime families have become involved in high-tech crimes such as the theft of microchips, processors, experimental metal alloys, and advanced weaponry.

Fancy Dan Brito said during his arraignment for the recent Brighton Beach shootout,' Everything has a price. Including the head of so-called superheroes.'"

"Experimental metal alloys and advanced weaponry" sure sounds like Rhino to us.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 hits theaters on May 2, 2014.
