Keanu Reeves shoots down 'Point Break' sequel rumors, wants to make 'Bill and Ted 3' [VIDEO]
Keanu Reeves is one of the biggest movie stars alive and has a great filmography to his name. His most recent movie, 47 Ronin, is in theaters now, but when promoting this new movie he still gets asked about his past projects. Point Break was mentioned in a recent interview, and Reeves decides to address the rumors surrounding a sequel to the classic film that co-starred the late Patrick Swayze.
"Absolutely not," Reeves said of the Point Break sequel. "It's not my place...."
Though he didn't completely push the idea out of the realm of possibility.
"If they can find a way to do it that works out good, then God bless them," he added.
Another popular film franchise of Reeves' is the Bill and Ted movies that won the hearts of so many viewers. With this project, Keanu is definitely interested in making it happen!
"I'm open to the idea of that," he said. "I think it's pretty surreal, playing 'Bill & Ted' at 50. But we have a good story in that. You can see the life and joy in those characters, and I think the world can always use some life and joy."
He added: "Yeah, there's a story; there's a script. We're trying to get the dough together to make this crazy story. I can talk about it, but I shouldn't talk about it."
Mstars previously reported on the script for this movie and how it was completed.
"Yeah, the writers Ed Solomon and Chris Matheson wrote a script," Keanu recently revealed. "So there's efforts being made to try and get it made. It's a cool story. They came up with a really good story. It would be surreal to play that character at 50, but as long as it's funny and touches peoples' hearts.
When asked if he'd actually be up for making the film, he responded: "Yeah, yeah. Alex Winter [Bill] and I have remained friends, and we collaborated a little bit with the writers. They have a worthwhile story."
