How I Met Your Mother Season 9 spoilers on another major milestone for Ted and The Mother
How I Met Your Mother Season 9 is still on hiatus, but it returns with a new episode on Monday Jan. 13 and will run almost uninterrupted until the series finale on March 31. So far this year, we've seen numerous major milestones in the relationship between Ted (Josh Radnor) and The Mother (Cristin Milioti), but another one is coming shortly.
We've seen the moment when they first meet (though not the actual meeting), their trip to the Farhampton Inn and Ted's proposal on the lighthouse. We also know that the 200th episode, which airs on Jan. 27, will focus almost solely on The Mother and what she has been doing for the past eight-plus seasons. But sandwiched between the two aforementioned episodes is "Unpause," which airs on Jan. 20 and will feature another big moment.
Entertainment Weekly had a short blurb in its magazine about HIMYM's upcoming episode and wrote the following (scan posted by Spoiler TV):
"Thanks to the time-twisting ways of How I Met Your Mother, we've already watched Ted (Josh Radnor) propose to the Mother (Cristin Milioti), but that's not the last milestone we'll see, co-creator Craig Thomas says. Unpause [airing Jan. 20] contains a pretty wonderful one,' he teases."
As expected, Thomas kept a pretty tight lid on what that actual surprise is, but we'll go out on a limb and say we'll see when The Mother finds out she is pregnant with their first child. "Unpause" will also likely feature the continuation of Marshall and Lily's fight about his new judge job, which the two "paused" when Big Fudge finally made it to the Farhampton Inn in the latest episode.
