Monday Night Raw Preview 1/6/14: Will 'Old School Raw' explain Daniel Bryan joining The Wyatt Family?
The Jan. 6, 2014 edition of WWE's Monday Night Raw will emanate live from The Baltimore Arena in Baltimore, Md. as the first Raw of the New Year. The episode will be a special "Old School Raw" that will feature numerous returning Legends.
At the end of the Dec. 30 Raw that closed out 2013, Daniel Bryan finally gave in and joined The Wyatt Family, which had hounded him for months. He admitted that Bray Wyatt was right that the machine would never let him win and decided to side with the family. Bryan has appeared at a WWE Live Event since then as "Daniel Wyatt" in a blue jumpsuit, so expect to see that persona debut on television tonight. It will be interesting to see how the crowd reacts to Bryan and if they continue to chant "Yes!" or if they boo him.
Last week, Brock Lesnar returned to WWE television alongside his manager Paul Heyman and the two revealed that The Beast would go after the winner of the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match between John Cena and Randy Orton at Royal Rumble on Jan. 26. Heyman revealed in a WWE.com interview with Michael Cole that Lesnar would be at "Old School Raw" and that his client would be looking to "do something old school." More than likely this means that Lesnar will destroy another Superstar like he did to Mark Henry last week, but we'll find out tonight.
The list of confirmed Legends for tonight's broadcast includes Ric Flair, Rikishi, Scotty 2 Hotty, The New Age Outlaws, Rowdy Roddy Piper, Diamond Dallas Page, Booker T, Bob Backlund, Ted DiBiase Sr., Mean Gene Okerlund and Irwin R. Schyster.
As always, check back with MStars immediately after the show for a full recap of all the action.
