Macaulay Culkin's pizza-themed Velvet Underground band has a music video
Last month, we brought you the news that Macauley Culkin had started a pizza-themed Velvet Underground cover band. At that point, the band had gone so far as to record a demo EP and perform a few shows with Culkin dropping in for some epic kazoo solos over the pizza box percussion.
The Pizza Underground is about to go next-level, however, with the release of their first ever music video.
The video is a medley of "All The Pizza Parties", "Pizza Gal" and "Take A Bite Of The Wild Slice" (parodies of "All Tomorrow's Parties", "Femme Fatale" and Lou Reed solo effort "Take A Walk On The Wild Side", respectively).
Visually, the video is a cross between surreal art project, late '80s educational film and that terrible "Strawberry Fields Forever" scene from Across The Universe. The clip also lets you experience the full-on majesty of Culkin's kazoo playing.
As the saying goes "Everyone who heard The Velvet Underground & Nico started a band, but only one of them writes songs about pizza and features the kid from Home Alone."
