Stephen Moffat hints at possibility of Matt Smith joining Benedict Cumberbatch on 'Sherlock'
Oh lord. Prepare your dashboard. Stephen Moffat appeared open to the idea of Matt Smith appearing in the fourth season of Sherlock now that his run on Doctor Who is over.
"I love working with Matt. He's a phenomenal actor. I'd jump at the chance to work with him again. I don't know how likely that is to be on the set of Sherlock," Moffat said in an interview. "If there was a perfect part for him, there's no rule against it. We wouldn't want it to be stunt casting, because stunt casting doesn't work, so it would have to be just because he was overwhelmingly right for it."
The amount of servers currently processing the Dumb And Dumber "So you're saying there's a chance?" .gif is staggering. Keep in mind that this is the sort of thing that fans came up with before the idea of a crossover between Bendystraw Curlyfries and Matt Smith was on the table.
There will probably be an uptick in innocent Sherlockians/Whovians Googling the word "ship." A moment of silence for them...
