2013 was a big year for Drake and it's looking like this year may very well be a Drizzy take over.

Earlier this week, it was reported that Drake would headline the Revolt TV and Time Warner Cable Super Bowl pre-show. According to Billboard, the YMCMB rapper has signed on to star in a Time Warner commercial slated to air during Super Bowl XLVIII.

Talk about starting from the bottom. Drizzy sure has come a long way from Degrassi.

During the 2012 Super Bowl, Time Warner aired an ad starring Ricky Gervais. The cable company also had a spot with The Walking Dead's Norman Reedus in 2013.

Jeffrey Hirsch, TWC's executive vice president and chief sales and marketing officer, had this to say:

"He's not just a phenomenal performer, but a phenomenal actor. I got to watch him at the shoot, and he can really act. He's gonna be even bigger for many years to come."

It is estimated that the Super Bowl will have as many as 110 million viewers. According to Advertising Age, the average cost of a 30-second spot has reached rates as high as $4 million.

Billboard also reports that Time Warner Cable's Super Bowl Week events will kick off Jan. 29 with Showtime and Food Network's Ultimate Tailgate Experience.

Drake's concert is going down Saturday Feb. 1 and will also feature a performance from Diddy.
