Former NFL player Carl Pickens hid in what to avoid the police?
With Playoff games on high, a lot of your favorite football teams and players are battling it out on the field, as well as off -- and some not in a good way.
MStars has learned that former NFL star, Carl Pickens was caught hiding in his attic when police came to arrest him for allegedly beating his wife. The 43-year-old's hide-and-seek game did not go according to plan, after he fell through the roof.
According to TMZ, the Georgia police were on lookout for the ex-Pro Bowl wide receiver after his wife reported to authorities a dispute with Pickens. She told police that the former football player threw her on the couch and held her down by the neck on Dec 7th.
According to ajc.com, the report given to the Gwinnett County Police Department, Pickens and his wife began arguing about his wife's friend attending a movie with the couple. While police arrived to the house to investigate, and check to see if they would find Pickens home, they noticed "a fresh hole in the ceiling from the attic where Mr. Pickens had partially fallen."
According to the report, police yelled for Pickens to surrender, and that's when Pickens "dropped from the sky."
Pickens was booked on misdemeanor domestic battery charges and was released on a $2,000 bond Monday, Jan. 6th.
