The beautiful actress from China is still furious about the recent allegations involving her.

According to reports, Zhang Ziyi is said to have earned over $100 million by just sleeping with several Chinese government high-ranking officials. As an action to the false allegations, the actress already filed a lawsuit against two Chinese publications that deliberately spread the rumors. Now, Zhang Ziyi's lawyer, John Mason, is speaking out for the first time about the libel case.

"Zhang Ziyi is not a prostitute, never has been a prostitute, never met this person that she's alleged to have this very expensive sexual relationship with," Mason told sources.

Mason is the man responsible on filing the lawsuit in the United States District Court in California. For Zhang Ziyi, it is absolutely not funny that she is accused of being a prostitute in exchange for an acting career especially when she has already established herself as a successful actress in Hollywood. What makes Zhang Ziyi really upset and angry is that she was not even contacted first to comment or share her side regarding the validity of the rumored story.

Meanwhile, the publication that was reporting the scandal insists that they simply published what is believed to be the truth and the information was provided from an anonymous source. However, anonymous sources are not really that reliable. The lawyer, John Mason, further explained that the lack of presented evidence makes the story weak. Mason also believes that it is just an attempt of the publication to damage the career of the actress.

"They don't even have a photograph or a statement from anybody that she ever met him. People put stories out there often enough just to get attention, just to get more readers. This is outrageous in its face in the way it was intended to damage her career. You don't call somebody a prostitute and allege multimillion-dollar sex acts without having some evidence," Mason said.

With that, Mason sounds upset as well and it clearly shows that he has no intention of backing down until he gets the answers that he and Zhang Ziyi wants. "No matter what it takes and no matter what it costs, we really do intend to bring these people into court and find out why they published what they did and where this information came from. From our side, we can't put this genie back in the bottle, but we can definitely get to the bottom of where the bottle came from," the lawyer explained with determination.

Mason makes a good and strong point. It is true that once an idea is planted in a person's mind, it would be very impossible to erase that thought. Zhang Ziyi appears to be the latest victim with this kind of irresponsible media reports stating that the "Memoirs of a Geisha" actress might have profited from sex to which the actress vehemently denies.
