Shia LaBeouf slams Jim Carrey on Twitter for 2014 Golden Globes joke, calls 'Dumb and Dumber' movie star a bad father to love child
As 2013 came to an end, Transformers star Shia LaBeouf made headlines for all of the wrong reasons. To sum up, the 27-year-old actor made a short film that essentially plagiarized noted writer Daniel Clowes. Things escalated from there, leading to LaBeouf's retirement from "public life." Unfortunately this only lasted about three days and Shia was back on Twitter to spit some insults at Jim Carrey after the Yes Man star made a joke about him at the 2014 Golden Globes.

Poking fun at Shia's current predicament with the plagiarism scandals, Carrey's joke got plenty of laughs at the awards ceremony but not from LaBeouf. Check out Jim's joke right here:
At first, Shia's posted a Tweet that was a bit of a cryptic jab to the comedic actor:
If you explain @JimCarrey you've killed him, Nobody knows if it's for real or not. That way he's immortal.

But then things got a little personal. In a Tweet that has since been deleted, LaBeouf stated that Carrey was an absent father to a love child he had years ago.
"@eonline At least I don't get arrested for indecency on major LA highways! Or abandon love child's," he said in a deleted Twitter post.
Fortunately, Shia was mistaken. Carrey is very involved in his daughter's life. Her name is Jane Carrey and she recently tried out for American Idol and Jim attended her audition.
Shia posted the following apology, which has also been deleted: "Jim Carrey states that he is deeply involved in his daughter's life - I accept that, regret tweet on the matter. Apologies to both parents."
Meanwhile, Shia had one last Tweet to share before calling it quits:
