Earlier this month, Mstars reported that Jimmy Fallon would be replacing Jay Leno on The Tonight Show and we just got wind that Fallon has something big up his sleeve to kick off his debut.

According to Variety, Will Smith and U2 will be Fallon's first guests on the Feb. 17 show.

Fallon has remained lowkey about his new gig but he's been in regular contact with Leno who's given him some pretty sound advice: "You have to make your monologue longer."

Fallon's monologues have been running three to four minutes where Leno's are a little lengthier at about 10 minutes.

Leno also stressed the importance of covering a good slice of the day's big news.

Many are wondering what Fallon will do differently on Tonight versus Late Night and he said that he wanted to keep the Tonight Show a light, fun experience for viewers.

"It should be goofy and funny and make people laugh," Fallon said. "That's our job. ...I wish Steve Allen and Johnny Carson were still around to see what we're doing to do with the show."

He's got some pretty big shoes to fill, as Conan O'Brien quickly found out. But Fallon has a pretty decent track record so he should be fine.

Fallon did well in standup, gained even more popularity from his stint on Saturday Night Live and achieved huge success on Late Night. Moving on to The Tonight Show is indeed a milestone in Jimmy Fallon's career.

Make sure to tune in for his big debut.
