Sarah Paulson previews 'American Horror Story: Coven' finale
American Horror Story: Coven aired its penultimate episode on Wednesday night and the season finale will air next week. Star Sarah Paulson, who plays Cordelia in Season 3 of AHS, spilled some details on the finale after last night's broadcast.
[WARNING: SPOILERS FROM WEDNESDAY'S EPISODE AND SEASON FINALE AHEAD]
The most recent episode ended with the death (seemingly) of four characters: Fiona (Jessica Lange), Madame LaLaurie (Kathy Bates), Marie Laveau (Angela Bassett) and the Axeman (Danny Huston). Now, the witches must determine who is the next Supreme, which seems to the focus of the finale.
E! Online asked Paulson if she has heard the theory that Cordelia is the next Supreme, and here's what the actress had to say about that:
"People have had that theory. The thing about this show is that-I love that I'm on a show that people have theories, you know? That means the audience is very engaged and they care about the outcome. I think you'll be surprised how this thing wraps up. I don't think anyone will see it coming. Just when you think you know what's going to happen, it ends up being something else."
Knowing American Horror Story, the entire coven of witches could be wiped out in one fell swoop and few people would be surprised. The show has gone dark with its last two finales, but Coven has had a lighter feel to it for much of the season, so perhaps the finale will echo that.
Who do you think is the next Supreme, Coven fans? How do you expect the finale to end? Let us know in the comments below.
