Earlier this week, reports came out concerning Quentin Tarantino's decision to shelve his next film project, The Hateful Eight, after he found out that his script for the movie had been leaked. Now that leaked script has been making the rounds over the Internet, and we have some details about what could have been one of the acclaimed director's best films.

The Wrap reports:

The script is an ensemble Western with obvious parts for Madsen and Dern, as well as Tarantino stalwarts like Samuel L. Jackson and Christoph Waltz. Jackson and Madsen would likely both play bounty hunters returning human plunder to a town called Red Rock in exchange for hefty rewards. Their characters, a former major in the Union army and a man named John Ruth, dominate the first two of the script's five chapters.

Oddly enough, though the website drops Waltz's name, Tarantino himself said that one of the recipients of the script that had been leaked was not the Oscar-winning actor, so perhaps he wasn't going to be in this film?

"I'm very, very depressed," Tarantino said about the leaked script. "I finished a script, a first draft, and I didn't mean to shoot it until next winter, a year from now. I gave it to six people, and apparently it's gotten out today."
