WWE Spoilers: Reports that Sting signed WWE Legends contract, and will WWE change its WrestleMania 30 plans for Daniel Bryan after Royal Rumble reaction?
The Road to WrestleMania almost always brings with it the hope that Sting, one of the last major WCW wrestlers to never join WWE, would sign with the company for a bout at the Showcase of the Immortals. This year is no different, as rumors of Sting's departure from TNA ran wild, particularly once his contract expired. But a new report claims that many fans' dream might finally come true.
Rob Feinstein of RFVideo.com posted the following on his Facebook page to report that Sting has signed a Legends contract with WWE:
"I was just informed Sting has signed a deal with WWE in the last 24 hours. I still think personally he will show up after Mania since it seems like Undertaker vs. Brock [Lesnar] is what they are aiming for. Reminds me when everyone thought Brock would debut in Miami but they waited for Raw."
PWInsider.com also reported that negotiations are still ongoing and that a decision must come in the next two weeks. You can read more on that here, as it is a lengthy and detailed report.
Feinstein's post comes one day after Anthony DiMoro of Sportsrant.com reported that Sting and WWE had come to a deal. As always, nothing is official until WWE makes it so, and these reports do not guarantee that Sting and WWE have reached a deal.
Royal Rumble Reaction Changing WrestleMania Plans?
F4WOnline.com reports that Vince McMahon and other WWE officials noted the widespread negative reaction to the Royal Rumble, but the site reports that the response will not change WWE's plan to have Batista vs. Randy Orton for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and Daniel Bryan vs. Sheamus at WrestleMania 30.
Wrestlezone.com also notes that WWE is considering turning Batista heel after WrestleMania, but it is unclear if this is a reaction to the Rumble response or if it was the company's plan from the beginning.
