The second season of the CW's hit DC Comics-inspired series Arrow is in full swing, but there are still plenty of questions about the fan-favorite character Roy Harper. Luckily for us, the actor portraying Roy, Colton Haynes, this week opened up about his character in a new interview, explaining the "long journey" he must go on to gain Oliver Queen's respect!

"I think it's going to be a long journey but it's nice to at least know that Roy has garnered enough trust to start the steps of becoming a possible sidekick -- if he doesn't screw it up," Haynes told The Hollywood Reporter. "That journey is going to be a lot longer than people expect. We're going to draw it out a bit and let their minds wander."

Though he's definitely on his way to becoming a sidekick, Roy has other obstacles to get over within himself.

"Roy's really going to deal with his anger issues -- a lot of that is because of the Mirakuru -- the way Slade has, but Slade has taken a turn for the worse," the actor said. "He's gone to the dark side. The goal for Arrow is to tame Roy and make him a good guy and not hurt anybody and be devilish. I'm not sure if that's going to happen. Roy is really, really angry and he can't really pull it back. That's probably going to cause Roy to hurt people close to him. It's going to get a lot worse before it gets even better."
