Justin Bieber Tops UK Chart

Justin Bieber's new album 'Believe' took the No. 1 spot on the UK album chart, leaving Cheryle Cole behind.

Bieber sold 38,000 copies of 'Believe' and just 3,000 copies more than Cole's third album, 'A Million Lights,' according to Billboard.

"...all the experts said WE wouldn't come in at #1 in the UK...I have never had a #1 album there...but u all BELIEVED," the singer tweeted. "never say never right? this is just the start! thank you for giving this album so much love! #BELIEVE - I LOVE YOU"

Meanwhile, Maroon 5 became the top on the single chart, dropping Cole's song 'Call My Name' off after one week. The band sold more than 141,000 copies of their single song 'Payphone' last week.

"It's been a long time coming. We're so happy that people like the tune, and there are more to come," lead singer Adam Levine shared the reflection to BBC Radio 1.

Carrie Underwood's 'Blown Away' and Reverend and Makers by Sheffield indie band newly entered on the charts. US band, The Smashing Pumpkins also reappeared on the charts.
