'Supernatural: Tribes' spinoff reveals cast of characters
The Supernatural spinoff entitled Supernatural: Tribes will get a backdoor pilot in the 20th episode of the main show's Season 9. But new information about the spinoff's characters has been released to give fans a sense of what's to come on the new show, which seems to revolve around five rival monster families and one revenge-minded hunter in Chicago.
TVLine posted some exclusive details on each of the characters, each of whom will appear in the upcoming 20th episode. First we have Ennis Roth, who is likely the star of the series. He is "likeable, strong-willed, resolute, with a strong sense of justice." He's the poor son of a police officer and is about to train to become a cop when someone dear to him is murdered. Sam and Dean cross his path and tell him that five monster families run Chicago, and he decides to become a hunter to get revenge. The producers are looking for an African-American actor in his early 20s for the part.
David Hayden is an early 20s shape-shifter from one of the Chicago families who has been living as a human for a while, though a tragedy pulls him back to his old life.
Margo Hayden is David's early 20s sister and is "professional, strong-willed, determined, ambitious" and also a shape-shifter. She's an "ex-punk rocker gone corporate" and tries to take over the family after a tragedy.
Violet Durant is a werewolf and part of the powerful and wealthy Durant family, though her feelings for David complicate matters.
Julian Durant is Violet's "savagely handsome, strong, arrogant" brother and Ennis' enemy. He is in his 20s.
Lastly we have Freddie Costa, a cop in his 30s who is a seasoned veteran but has a soft spot for Ennis, whose father he knew years ago. He also harbors a secret.
