Pharrell Williams to headline NBA All-Star 2014 alongside Kendrick Lamar, Janelle Monae and more
The 2014 NBA All-Star game is right around the corner and this year's festivities are going to be bigger and better than any other year. It's all set to go down at the Smoothie Center, formally known as the New Orleans Arena, in New Orleans.
The NBA has just announced more performers and we must say, there will be a lot of star power in the building.
Pharrell Williams has been virtually inescapable since his electrifying performance with Daft Punk at the Grammys. And now he's headlining the "Entertainment Series presented by Sean John at Macy's" during the 63rd NBA All-Star Game on Sunday, Feb. 16.
Williams will kick off the festivities with the game air live at 8 p.m. ET on TNT, ESPN Radio, and in 215 countries and territories in more than 40 languages.
The halftime show will definitely be something worth watching. Legendary New Orleans native musician Trombone Shorty with hit the stage in a Southern style celebration with 20-time Grammy Award-winning band Earth, Wind & Fire. multiplatinum R&B singer-songwriter Janelle Monáe and Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Dr. John.
And if you enjoyed Kendrick Lamar's Grammy performance, be sure to check him out before the Sprite Slam Dunk Contest (Saturday, Feb. 15). The Dunk Contest will air live at 8 p.m. ET on TNT.
