Monday Night Raw Results 2/10/14: WWE Raw Recap Feb. 10, 2014: John Cena vs. Randy Orton, Daniel Bryan fights Kane and new 'Elimination Chamber' match
The Feb. 10, 2014 edition of WWE's Monday Night Raw emanates live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles and opens with the Big Show and special guest host Betty White. She says they are going to kick ass tonight, but the Authority comes out to clear the air.
Triple H says that they are considering Daniel Bryan for the face of the WWE, but they are considering all member of the Elimination Chamber match, as well. WWE World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton cuts them off and says he wants to apologize. He knows that to get what he wants and make them happy, then he needs to bring back The Viper and will start by beating John Cena tonight. Stephanie McMahon asks why and Orton says because he was first called the face of the WWE in this arena six months earlier at SummerSlam, so he wants to fulfill that and get everything he deserves, such as interviews and endorsements, because he is the heart and soul of the company and all of his opponents, including Batista, are less than him.
Daniel Bryan comes out and calls Orton a different body part than face. Stephanie says she does not appreciate the interruption and he must make an appointment, but Bryan says he has been looking for Kane but can't find him. He says Kane tried to do the Authority's dirty work but he still beat Orton last week. He demands a match with Kane tonight, but Stephanie says he is on leave and will be evaluated. Bryan mocks this and asks who is evaluating the Authority.
Orton screams at Bryan to show some respect, but Bryan stirs the pot by reminding Triple H of when Orton kissed Stephanie a few years ago. Orton says he will punt Bryan's head off if Triple H asks him to, but HHH says that Bryan has the night off and that keeping him out of the ring is best for business. Bryan chants "No!" at them while they leave the ring.
The Wyatt Family defeats Cody Rhodes, Goldust and Rey Mysterio when Bray plants Rey with Sister Abigail for the win. After the match, Bray cuts a promo and says The Shield are the same as everyone else who has faced him, and they will fall in time for his next game.
Renee Young is backstage with The Shield, where Roman Reigns admires clips of himself in the Royal Rumble match. Seth Rollins says they are not worried about the Wyatts' words and they will let their actions speak for themselves. Renee points out that Ambrose has not defended his United States Championship in quite a while, and Ambrose responds that paperwork is involved and he can't just pull challengers out of thin air. Reigns asks what kind of champion he wants to be, and Ambrose gets angry and issues an open challenge for his title later in the night.
Fandango (w/Summer Rae) defeats Santino Marella (w/Emma) with the top rope leg drop.
Sheamus joins Byron Saxton backstage and asks his thoughts about tagging with Christian tonight, as the two will face off in the Elimination Chamber in two weeks. Sheamus calls Christian a good friend but better enemy and says he has no problem teaming with him tonight. He makes a joke about having a beer with him after the match and says that is the last joke he will make because the Elimination Chamber is a serious matter. He calls it the last chance to main event at WrestleMania 30 and he will make sure it happens no matter who he has to fight to do it.
Sheamus and Christian defeat The Real Americans (w/Zeb Colter) when Christian breaks up Jack Swagger's Patriot Lock attempt on Sheamus, who then Brogue Kicks Swagger for the win.
Renee Young is backstage with John Cena, who says he and Orton have dominated WWE, but now the fans want change. And the WWE is currently going through plenty of change with the WWE Network and the new stars that will lead the company into the future. He says he will close his rivalry with Orton tonight and if anyone wants to step up, then they have to go through him first.
Alberto Del Rio beats Dolph Ziggler when he kicks out of the Famouser, attacks Ziggler's arm and superkicks him for the pin. Del Rio locks in the Cross Arm Breaker after the match, but Batista runs out and attacks him. He tears the announce table apart, whips Del Rio into the barricade and power bombs him through the table. He prepares to hit him with a monitor but decides to walk away.
Triple H finds Batista backstage and tells him to calm down. He says he likes having Batista back but he must do what's best for business and Batista needs to help with that. Batista says Del Rio deserved it, and Triple H books Batista vs. Del Rio at Elimination Chamber. Batista says he thinks things have changed and then walks away.
The New Age Outlaws are having tea with Betty White and talk about how they are doing a good job of protecting her from the Divas, who may have tried to pull a prank on her. Road Dogg pours her some tea and puts something in it while Billy Gunn shows her his Tag Team Championship. Betty goes to drink it but asks for lemon. The Outlaws go to get it and Betty switches the cups.
The Usos defeat Ryback and Curtis Axel when Jey Uso hits a splash on Ryback on the outside. Jimmy tags him in midair and hits a splash of his own for the win.
At some point during the broadcast, Lita is announced as the newest entrant into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2014.
Mark Henry beats Dean Ambrose in a United States Championship match by disqualification when he hits a World's Strongest Slam and Seth Rollins breaks up the pin. Henry fights off The Shield briefly, but Roman Reigns spears him and they go to leave through the crowd. The Wyatt Family's music hits and they wait on the ramp. All six men climb onto the apron and Reigns enters the ring, but the Wyatts turn and leave.
Cameron and the Bella Twins defeat Aj Lee, Tamina Snuka and Aksana when Cameron plants Aksana with a DDT.
Kane comes out to the ring and says the Authority placed him on administrative leave for a week, and he accepts the punishment. He says the Authority had nothing to do with his attack on Daniel Bryan last week and the Authority told him to leave the arena. Bryan's music cuts him off and he rushes the ring and attacks Kane. Kane fights him off and tries to chokeslam him, but Bryan floats over and tosses him outside the ring. He hits a suicide dive and dropkicks Kane over the barricade into the crowd. Bryan climbs the turnbuckle and leads a Yes! chant as Kane leaves through the crowd.
John Cena defeats Randy Orton when he hits a leg drop from the top rope and follows that up with a second Attitude Adjustment on Orton for the pin. Cena poses for the crowd as the show goes off the air.
