Ubisoft reveals 'Watch Dogs' release date coming between April and June 2014 with Wii U version at a 'later date'
Ubisoft might have just put a lot of gamers' minds at ease by announcing a release window for one of the most anticipated next-gen video games of 2014. According to the developers, Watch Dogs will be hitting shelves sometime between April and June of 2014. Yes this isn't and exact date, but at least the game isn't delayed!
"Our ambition from the start with Watch Dogs has been to deliver something that embodies what we wanted to see in the next-generation of gaming," Ubisoft stated. "From the beginning, we have adopted the attitude that we will not compromise on quality. As we got closer to release, as all the pieces of the puzzle were falling into place in our last push before completion, it became clear to us that we needed to take the extra time to polish and fine tune every detail so we can deliver a truly memorable and exceptional experience."
Ubisoft's CEO, Yves Guillemot announced this week that Watch Dogs would be coming "very soon" with a Wii U version of the game coming "at a later date."
So far we've seen a few gameplay trailers as well as test footage clips, both of which have been cause for concern in the gaming world. This video game was supposed to be pretty huge in terms of graphics, but the newer trailers scaled them back a bit. But it looks like Ubisoft is getting everything perfect before releasing the futuristic hacking game.
