David Cassidy's wife, Sue Cassidy files for divorce after DUI arrest

MStars has learned that David Cassidy's wife, Sue Cassidy filed for divorce Tuesday morning calling a quits to their 23-year marriage.

According to TMZ, Sue Cassidy is not stating if her descison was made to divorce her husband after he was arrested last month in L.A. for DUI or if she had any other reasons.

David, who was a child star on the hit 1970s show The Partridge Family, is currently in rehab after battling alcohol problems, and after he received his 3rd DUI arrest.

MStars previously reported that the actor was booked and charged with on count of a DUI from alcohol Jan. 10th, when police arrested the 63-year-old after making an illegal right turn.

Sue said, "I'm glad David is getting the help he needs and I am confident he will come back better and stronger than ever."

Sue and David have been together for 28 years, and have a son named Beau, who is 23-years-old.

Sue claims the reason behind her divorce decisions is that, "This has been looming for some time." and she also says, "I am truly heartbroken that our marriage is ending."

The couple have been living separately for 4 months, according to the site.
