Michael Sam dancing shirtless in gay club Video goes viral after coming out on ESPN

A video of NFL prospect, Michael Sam dancing shirtless at a gay club months before coming out about the closet. The University of Missouri student was filmed taking dollars as he danced at the SoCo nightclub in Columbia, MO in October. The athlete admitted that his teammates knew about his sexuality and decided to come forward publicly before the draft.

According to TMZ, Sam danced to Michael Jackson's "Rock With You" and was later approached by security to cover up.

In an interview with ESPN's "Outside the Lines" on Sunday, Sam said, "I am an openly, proud gay man." Sam said, "I understand how big this is," he said. "It's a big deal. No one has done this before. And it's kind of a nervous process, but I know what I want to be ... I want to be a football player in the NFL."

Sam added, that once revealing the news to his teammates, he wanted to officially go public with the news, "I didn't realize how many people actually knew, and I was afraid that someone would tell or leak something out about me," he said. "I want to own my truth. ... No one else should tell my story but me."
