Let it never be said that auction houses don't have a sense of timing. Omega Auctions just announced that they will be selling over 200 Beatles items immediately after we all celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Beatles on Ed Sullivan.

Chief among the items will be the jackets worn by the Fab Four in the movie Help! and on the album cover of the film's soundtrack.

"As Beatles clothing goes, these have got to be amongst the Holy Grail for any Beatles collector, auctioneer Paul Fairweather told the BBC.

"They feature on one of their most recognisable album covers and I have a feeling these could really fly off the block."

The jackets, which come from director Richard Lester's personal collection, are expected to fetch between $82,000 and $115,000.

The auction will take place on March 20 in Liverpool, to coincide with the release of The Beatles' single "Can't Buy Me Love."
