50 Cent Hospitalized From Car Crash

Rapper 50 Cent was hospitalized early Tuesday morning (June 26) after a traffic accident on the Long Island Expressway in New York.  His car had been hit by a truck driver who had lost control.

The hip hop star's official site posted a statement that read, "50 Cent was in a bad accident tonight as his bulletproof SUV was rear-ended by a Mack truck on the LIE in NYC. He was put on a stretcher and taken to the nearest Queens hospital where they are currently running tests on his neck and back."

50 Cent whose real name is Curtis Jackson suffered from some minor neck and back injuries and has been released from the hospital in the morning, according to a representative.  Jackson's driver was also hospitalized with no serious injuries.

Just one month ago (May), Jackson was hospitalized due to a stomach bug.  

One thing the rapper can look forward to is the release of his new album Murder by Numbers on July 2.
