'Scandal' Season 3 spoilers on Cyrus' crisis control, marriage and Vice President Sally Langston

Season 3 of Scandal has been out of the picture for quite a while now, as the show has been on an extended hiatus since December. But the show will come roaring back into our lives on Feb. 27, and we've got some spoilers to tide you over while you wait it out a bit longer.

Firstly, TVLine reports in its "Ask Ausiello" column that Cyrus (Jeff Perry) is going to have a lot on his plate once the show returns, given that he more or less ruined his marriage and is having a world of trouble at work.

"When the show returns on Feb. 27, Cyrus will be in full-tilt damage-control mode, both on the home and work fronts. 'He has rocked his marriage to the core and he also screwed up every chance he has of keeping Sally on the ticket,' explains his portrayer, Jeff Perry. 'Cyrus is more scared of what he's done than we've ever seen him, and he's scrambling like hell to get out of it.' BONUS SCOOP: Perry tells us he's been spending 'a bit of time' working with Columbus Short (Harrison) of late, which makes us go, Hmmm...."

Cyrus and Harrison have had a few conversations about a mystery figure from Harrison's past who has now arrived in the United States, so we'll guess that this is the reason for Perry and Short's working together.

The column also offered the following on the President's children:

"Jerry and Karen (as played by Dylan Minnette and Madeline Carroll) will buck the episodic drama's annoying teen trend and be 'complicated, substantial and interesting people' in their own right, according to their onscreen dad Tony Goldwyn, who adds that their arrival from boarding school 'really escalates' things for the Grant household."

Finally, the "Mega Buzz" column at TV Guide also reports the following nugget about Vice President Sally Langston:

"Sally Langston is far from being out of the picture after killing off her husband. In fact, she'll redouble her efforts to maintain a sense of power in the White House by working closely with Leo to plan her next career steps. In related news, the midseason premiere is called 'Ride Sally Ride.'"
